Show

What is the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Live Show?

It’s a brand-new, immersive stage adaptation of Douglas Adams’ legendary sci-fi comedy, co-created by an Emmy, Tony, Olivier and Grammy winning team schooled in theatre, immersive, television, dance and live music.

The show invites audiences on a 90-minute, infinitely improbable adventure through multiple spaces at London’s Riverside Studios, going on a quest for the secret to life, the universe and everything.  The show features beloved characters like Arthur Dent, Fenchurch, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Marvin the Paranoid Android, and all the rest of the unlikely crew of hitchhikers – including you…

Is this an immersive show or traditional theatre?

Yes. Is that confusing?  Maybe, but our show is both.

The show draws from the best examples of immersive, musical theatre, dance and magic to deliver a truly out of this world experience and a complete night out.

Song, dance, laughs, scares, existential dread and true love lay before you.  In some sections of the show, you might be comfortably seated, enjoying a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster whilst the action unfolds before you, in other bits, you could be grabbing your towel and trying to use it to fend off poetry-speaking Vogons…  the degree of interaction is entirely up to you. If you’re the sort of person who wants to flirt with Eccentrica Gallumbits or engage in a battle of wits with Marvin the Paranoid Android, you can. If you’d rather just observe and not be part of the action, we got you.

How long is the show?

The performance runs for approximately 90 minutes. There is no formal interval, but there are beverages available throughout the show.  You are also welcome to hang out in our Milliways Atrium Bar afterwards.

Do I need to be familiar with the books or film?

No prior knowledge is required. The show is designed for both die-hard fans and newcomers to the Hitchhiker’s universe.

Who will be in the cast?
